Beckman-Coulter’s Supply Chain Links Battle at Flightdeck Air Combat Center
More and more companies are looking to renew their commitment to team building events as the economy makes a slow comeback. When it comes to fun things to do in Orange County and unique team building experiences, Flightdeck Air Combat Center is a cut above the normal go kart, paintball, bike building, ropes course events. Beckman’s Flightdeck experience began in the morning with a visit from Flightdeck crew members Rich “Rockeye” Rebenstorff and Sheath “Magnet” Guevarra who brought the group’s dog tags, personalized with their assigned call signs. The Beckman team, which had no idea where they were going or what awaited them were briefed on their day’s mission. After being split into three equal groups, each squadron flew together, engaging each other is some spirited air-to-air combat, with the top two out of each sortie vying for the coveted “Top Gun” award. Other more personalized awards were given, among them the “Over Analytic” award for the least number of missiles shot (too cautious), and the “Radio Hog” award (self explanatory), which was won by event organizer Cindy Lin. “This was by far the best team building event we have had so far!” she added.
